Disability Inclusion

With an unemployment rate hovering in the 65% to 70% range, people with disabilities represent one of the largest untapped segments of the labor market. While most employers value diversity in their recruitment and staffing practices, many find that they need practical guidance and tools to effectively reach out to candidates with disabilities and embrace the unique talents of this population. Components of this training include an examination of current recruiting practices, suggested language for inclusive job descriptions and job applications, adaptive training techniques, principles of reasonable accommodation and undue hardship, universal design, people-first language, and additional strategies for recognizing and promoting the contributions of people with disabilities.
